"The translation felt really awkward in..."
The translation felt really awkward in a lot of places, almost like no one gave it a proper final check before publishing. Some lines were so unclear that I had to reread them just to figure out what was being said, which got annoying after a while.

I was disappointed when this showed up. It just looked cheap in person, it made for such an awkward gift. I really wish it had looked nicer because I was hoping it would feel a bit more presentable.

I’m not really a fan of the design. It feels outdated to me, though maybe it’s just bad timing and they’re due for a refresh soon.

I was ready to grab a few books, but once I saw the shipping cost, I backed out. It was almost the same as the books themselves, and I just couldn’t justify losing that much extra money on delivery. Felt like the deal stopped being worth it

"Felt cheap, and customer service was no help"
I was disappointed with this. The cover arrived bent, and after barely using it, the binding started falling apart and pages were coming loose. It just feels cheap overall. I tried emailing customer service, but the replies felt like they were written by robots and didn’t really address my issue.

I ordered one book from tanbooks.com the order itself was totally fine. The book was good and everything went smoothly. But after that, the emails started feeling like a lot. It seemed like every time I checked my inbox there was another sale or promo from them. I did unsubscribe, but before that it was just kind of annoying. Good books overall, but the email marketing feels way overdone...

I’m not sure if it was just our experience, but the kids’ books felt a bit dry and kind of confusing. My kids didn’t really seem to get into them, so they probably weren’t the best fit for us.

I tried to place an order, and I’m not exaggerating when I say the checkout was definitely a mess. Pages were loading painfully slow, the payment step was weirdly confusing, and after a while I just gave up. For a first try, it was 100% not a great experience

I tried to order a few books, but the website just kept getting in my way. Pages were loading slowly, the search wasn’t really giving me what I was typing in, and checkout kept sending me backward for some reason. On my phone, it felt especially old and clunky. I eventually gave up. The books might be great, but from my experience, the site really needs some work.

"Wish I hadn’t bothered with the discount code"
I regret spending time trying to order. I had a promo code that was supposed to work, but every time I put it in at checkout it said it wasn’t valid. Then the sale price changed after I added the items to my cart, which made the whole thing feel misleading. I kept thinking maybe I was doing something wrong, but at that point I should’ve just walked away. Definitely wasn’t worth the hassle.

I was hoping to find ebook versions of a few books I had in mind, but most of what I came across seemed to be print-only. For me, that was a bit disappointing since I usually prefer reading digitally.

The book just felt a bit flimsy to me. The pages didn’t feel great, and the print looked dull in person. I was hoping for better quality, so for me, it wasn’t really worth it.

"Just didn’t connect with me spiritually"
I ordered this thinking it might give my prayer life a little boost, you know, something that would help me feel more grounded or closer to God, but it just didn’t land that way for me. I kept waiting for that moment where it would click, and instead it felt kind of distant, like it was more focused on creating a certain mood or aesthetic than actually offering something spiritually meaningful.
Maybe it works for other people, and I can see how someone might get something from it, but for me it was just underwhelming. I didn’t finish feeling encouraged or refreshed, more like, oh… that wasn’t really what I was hoping for. So yeah, not terrible exactly, just not spiritually helpful in the way I needed...

"I really wanted to get into this..."
I really wanted to get into this, but the writing was hard to push through. It felt clunky in a lot of places and kind of boring. Some points got repeated so much that it felt like the goalposts kept moving every time I thought I understood what the author was trying to say. I also had to reread a few lines just to figure out the point, which made the whole thing more frustrating than enjoyable.

"Heads up: customer service was really slow"
Just a warning for anyone thinking about ordering from TAN Books: I placed an order and had a simple question about it, so I reached out to customer service by email.
Then I basically waited. Days went by without a clear answer, and when I tried following up, it still felt like I was stuck in limbo. I get that companies get busy, but nobody really explained what was going on or gave me anything useful to go on.
The books themselves may be totally fine, but the support experience was frustrating enough that I’d be careful ordering if you might need help quickly. Personally, I probably wouldn’t order again unless I was okay with not getting much support.

I mean, some of the titles just felt a bit off to me, so I ended up having to double-check a few things. It wasn’t a huge deal, but yeah, not exactly what I was expecting

I was trying to get a few things organized for our homeschool year and ended up ordering some books from TAN after seeing them mentioned here and there. I liked the idea of having something a little more structured, and the topics looked promising at first, so I figured it was worth a shot.
Once everything finally arrived, though, it just didn’t really work for us. The books felt kind of dated in the way they were laid out, my kids had a hard time following along, and the parent guides didn’t give me much to work with. Shipping took longer than I expected too, and when I reached out, the replies from customer service were brief. Maybe it’s a good fit for some families, but it ended up being more frustrating than helpful for ours
